we are very saddened by Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Ernst Wilhelm Otten’s passing on July 8th, 2019.
The Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz and the scientific community has lost an esteemed, world-renowned colleague, an inspiring mentor and a dear friend.
We cordially invite you to honor our esteemed colleague Ernst Otten and to celebrate his lifetime achievements. The event will be held as part of the Physics Colloquium series and is scheduled for November 5, 2019 at the Staudinger Lecture Hall of the Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research, Ackermann Weg 10, 55128 Mainz.
Ernst Otten's scientific achievements will be dignified with talks by Michèle Leduc from ENS Paris, Wilfried Nörtershäuser from the University of Darmstadt, Christian Weinheimer from the University of Münster and Werner Heil, QUANTUM, from the University of Mainz.
You are kindly asked to save the date for the commemoration of Ernst Otten’s life and his achievements.
We will honor his memory by dedicating ourselves to continuing the work he loved so much.
